Finance platforms, such as Ping An and Ant Group, are also making significant contributions to AI innovation. Telecom companies like Huawei Technologies, Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications, and China Mobile are also among the top 10 patent applicants. China’s position as the world’s largest consumer and manufacturer of smartphones has attracted many high-tech specialists to these firms over the last decade.
