Arabic Language Model ALLaM Now Fully Operational on IBM Watsonx

The open-source Arabic Large Language Model (LLM) ‘ALLaM’ was developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and hosted on IBM’s Watsonx enterprise AI and data platform. This model comes with an optional AUP and can be trained, fine-tuned, and deployed through the Watsonx.ai studio. The model also comes with industry-leading governance tools, which assist in ensuring responsible deployment and compliance with IBM’s ethical AI guidelines.

The announcement was made by Arvind Krishna, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IBM, and H.E. Dr. Esam Alwagait, Director of the National Information Center at the Saudi Data Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). Speakers at the conference included Dr. Yaser Alonaizan, CEO of SDAIA’s National Center for AI.
